Daryl Phillips

Daryl Alonzo Phillips, 37, of 101 Westland Drive, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born March 12, 1972, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Patsy Phillips Dezern of Spartanburg and was raised by his grandmother, the late Margie Bridges Phillips. He was employed at Michelin and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Also surviving is his wife, Donna Sartor Phillips; two sisters, Sylvia Wykel and Christy Dezern, both of Spartanburg; and three nieces, Sheena Wykel, Skylar Dezern, and Ellie Sumner. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Sidney Norton. Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or to the United Way of the Piedmont, P. O. Box 5624, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
