Darby Douglas

Darby Bruggeman Douglas, 64, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, December 2, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 12, 1948, in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Richard D. and Dorothy Cosgrove Crone Bruggeman, and wife of the late Timothy Arthur Douglas, Jr. Mrs. Douglas was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She retired from nursing at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Systems after many years of service. Surviving are her sons, James Douglas (Dana) of York, SC, and Timothy Douglas III (Alicia) of Wellford, SC; daughters, Rebecca Hernandez (Vicente) of Fairforest, SC, and Kimberly Douglas of Boiling Springs, SC; stepmother, Ruth Topper; sisters and brothers, Cathy Fogle, Rick Bruggeman, John Bruggeman, and Theresa Snyder; stepbrother and stepsisters, Scott Bruggeman, Ellen Doughty, and Elaine Hecht, all of York, PA; 19 grandchildren, including three raised in her home, Casey, Alex, and LJ Douglas; and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, December 6, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
