Danny Bishop

Danny Ray Bishop, 63, of Inman, died Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Born November 9, 1953 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Carl and Shirley Koon Bishop. Danny was a metal fabricator for over 30 years in the construction industry. He was a member of Una First Baptist Church. Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a wonderful cook, hard worker, loved to fish and was very devoted to his Lord and family. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Mauney Bishop; daughters, Katina Webb (Mike) of Boiling Springs, Donna Bishop (Chad) of Chesnee, son, Danny Ray Bishop, Jr. of Inman; grandchildren, Jerry Quinn and Josh Quinn of Chesnee, Logan Webb of Boiling Springs, Noah Bishop of Inman and Hope Wyant of Chesnee; sisters, Lillie Huntsinger (Terry) of Chesnee; brother, David Bishop (Pat) of Wellford. Along with his parents, he was also predeceased by granddaughter, Julie Anna Wyant and sister, Ruth Bishop Hammett. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Pastor Phillip Raines and Mr. Billy Fowler. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Una First Baptist Church, 350 New Cut Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301. The family would like to give a special heartfelt thanks to caregivers, Cindy Smalley and Tina Bolduc. The family will be at the home of his sister, Lillie Huntsinger.
