Daniel Sizemore

Daniel Gregory Sizemore, 64, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 6, 1948, in Pacolet, SC, he was the son of Helen Fleming Sizemore of Spartanburg and the late William Riley Sizemore Sr. A veteran of the U. S. Army, he served in the Vietnam War for two terms. Mr. Sizemore was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, a member of Arkwright Baptist Church, and retired from Milliken & Company. In addition to his mother, survivors include a niece, Tiffany Sizemore of Inman, SC; nephew Joshua Sizemore of Christiansburg, VA; and numerous aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his father; and a brother, William "Billy" Riley Sizemore Jr. A graveside service with military rites will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 27, 2013, in Pacolet First Baptist Church Cemetery, by the Rev. Ronald Lyda. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or the Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of his niece, Tiffany Sizemore.
