Daniel Price

Daniel Lloyd Price, 71, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Prisma Health Hospice. Born September 18, 1950, he was the son of the late Dewey Lloyd and Beatrice Castle Price, and was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Deborah Wade Price.

Dan was a graduate of Ferrum College in Ferrum, VA, and was retired from Nestle Frozen Foods after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, where he was very active in his church life and served on several committees. An incredibly generous person who never met a stranger, he loved his family and friends. Dan was a voracious learner, a lifelong lover of sports and was extremely excited about his Atlanta Braves winning the World Series in 2021.

Survivors include his daughters, Ami Price (Jason Griffin) of Swannanoa, NC and Dr. Sarah Price (Ankur Bakshi) of Springfield, IL, his sisters, Karion Roberts (Scott) of Eden, NC and Brenda Thompson (Charles) of Danville, VA, and his favorite feline, Bruce.

A Memorial service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 400 Dupre Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A reception will follow after the service. Masks will be required.
