Daniel Theodore Koshak, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 16, 1925, in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Abraham and Ida Janovsky Koshak and husband of the late Rhoda Lee Briller Koshak. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II during the China-Burma-India conflict, Mr. Koshak was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel, a Master Gardener, an avid oil on canvas artist, enjoyed playing golf, loved to cook and was the retired general manager of Shelby Dyeing & Finishing Company. Survivors include his children, Lynn McCrary (Dan) of Charlotte, NC and Gary Koshak (Shirley) of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Lawrence P. Koshak of Greensboro, NC and Danielle Salari (Jordan) of Burlington, NC; and sister, Lenore Nathanson of Jacksonville, FL. A private graveside service will be conducted in Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC.
