Daniel King

Daniel R. King, 73, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at his home. Born March 17, 1942, in Cook County, IL, he was the son of the late Ralph Daniel and Rochelle Z. Carey King. Mr. King, a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Strategic Air Command during the Vietnam War. He received his Bachelor and Masters Degrees from the University of Indiana and began his career as a Senior Commercial Loan Officer at St. Joseph Bank in South Bend, IN, and retired from Prudential Financial. While at Prudential, he was responsible for establishing their REO Division and held the position of President. Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Meredith Curtis King; son, Brian King of Orlando, FL and grandchildren, Brendan, Gregory and Jennifer King all of Rochester, NY. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
