Daisy Owensby

Daisy Hill Owensby, 90, of Pacolet, SC, died Thursday, July 21, 2016, in Spartanburg, SC. Born January 7, 1926, in Clifton, SC, she was the daughter of the late John G. and Rosa Belle Neely Bledsoe. She was the widow of her first husband, Clyde Hill, Jr., and second husband, Felix Leroy Owensby and the last surviving member of her immediate family. Daisy was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and served as church treasurer for 26 years. Surviving are her children, Ken Hill (Margaret) of Pacolet, SC, Danny Hill (Felicia) of Kernersville, NC, and Debbie McAbee (Bobby) of Pacolet, SC; step-daughters, Karen Lindsay (Tim) and Juanita Alexander, all of Spartanburg, SC; 9 grandchildren, Todd Hill (Kim), Dana Hill, Jennifer Deaton (Max), Jonathan McAbee (Lindsay), Dee Hammett (Chris), Kevin Hill (Jennifer), Jodi McAbee (Robert Mills), Ben Mello (Courtney), and Carla Speaks (Daniel); 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, by Mr. Todd Hill and the Rev. Norman Band. Burial will be in Pacolet First Baptist Church Cemetery, 310 W. Main St., Pacolet, SC 29372. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morning Star Baptist Church, 150 Old Spartanburg Hwy, Pacolet, SC 29372; or Pacolet Mills Baptist Family Life Center, PO Box 660, Pacolet Mills, SC 29373.
