D. Banks

D. Alan Banks, 57, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born December 13, 1955, in Spartanburg, he was the son of Donald F. Banks of Spartanburg and the late Dorothy Jean Phillips Banks. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his father, survivors include his daughters, Lindsey Smith, Miranda Collins, and Katie Banks; seven grandchildren; and his companion, Mary Scruggs. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 PM Friday, December 28, 2012, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Keith Davis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church, 2817 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
