Cynthia Wofford

Cynthia Wofford, 65, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, March 3, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born October 11, 1957 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clyde D. Wofford and Dorothy Melton Wofford of Spartanburg, SC.

Cynthia earned her BS in Biology from University of South Carolina and earned her certification as an Industrial Hygienist from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She was employed with Auriga Polymers.

She loved to lay in the sun, Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, animals, music flamingos, and shopping for clothes, shoes, and jewelry.

Cynthia attended Morningside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Melton Wofford; and her special friends: Denise Martin of Cowpens, SC, Elaine Ali of Boiling Springs, SC and Lynne Rhinehart of Chesnee, SC.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC, 29307. Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Jason A. Metcalf. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
