Cynthia Huey

Cynthia Lawrence Royaards Huey, 54, of Greenville, died Thursday, June 16, 2011, at McCall Hospice House-Simpsonville. Born June 11, 1957, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. Lawrence and Catherine Moon Lawrence of Spartanburg. Cynthia was a member of Westside Church in Simpsonville, an accounting supervisor at Spartanburg Water Systems, and a graduate of Furman University. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert Eugene Huey of the home; her son, Eric Brandon Royaards (Blythe) of Greenville; a grandson, Hendrix Royaards; a stepson, Joshua Huey of Spartanburg; step-granddaughters, Isabella and Jazmine Huey; a sister, Wanda "KK" Lawrence Steele (Chip) of Spartanburg; and nephews, Greg and John Steele and their families. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by Pastor Scott Mackey. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 9801 Southern Pine Blvd, Suite I, Charlotte, NC 28273; or Westside Church, 611 Richardson St., Simpsonville, SC 29680.
