Cynthia Debus

Cynthia Merrill Debus, 65, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, February 23, 2012, at her home. Born December 29, 1946, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Clara Ruth Tiner Merrill. Survivors include her husband Richard G. Debus; daughter, Leigh Sweeney (Troy) of Kingston, TN, and Brooke Reed (David) of Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren; sister, Charmayne Hutcherson of Roebuck, SC; and son-in-law, Dwayne Upton of Spartanburg, SC. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kimberly Upton; and son, Bobby McCrary. Visitation will be 5:30-6:45 PM Monday, February 27, 2012, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Robert H. Brozina.
