Cristille Langley

Cristille "Cris" Cassell Langley, 55, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center-ER. Born February 18, 1960, in Greenwood, SC, she was the daughter of Roy Farrell and Loretta Johnston Cassell of Boiling Springs, SC. A 1977 graduate of Ninety Six High School and 1981 graduate of Lander University, Mrs. Langley received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and did graduate work at Clemson and USC. She was Teacher of the Year in 1984 and taught at Planterville School in Georgetown, SC, as well as Saluda Elementary, Saluda, SC, John C. Calhoun Elementary in Calhoun Falls, SC, and most recently at Startex Elementary in Startex, SC. As a licensed Assisted Living Administrator, she also served as Activity/Marketing Director with Skylyn Place Retirement Center in Spartanburg for a number of years. Cris was a member of New Life Baptist Church and she loved to sing. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Frazier W. Langley; and special friends, Jayne Rice, Kathy Blalock, and Kim Tipton. Visitation will be 12:00-12:45 PM Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David Blalock. Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Road, Moore, SC 29369. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615; or The American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615.
