Corran Gossett

Corran "Pete" Morgan Gossett, 91, of Shelby, NC, died Monday, October 10, 2011, at Peak Resources in Shelby. Born June 28, 1920, in Chesnee, SC, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Elsie Cash Morgan, and wife of the late John Walter Gossett, Jr. Mrs. Gossett was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Spartanburg and retired from Mayfair Mills. Survivors include her sons, Ronny Joe Gossett and wife Laverne of Quinton, VA, and Robert Leon Gossett and wife Sandra of Shelby, NC; two granddaughters; two grandson; and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Agnes Gossett; and brothers, DeWitt and Ed Morgan. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services follow at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Edwin Bolton. Burial will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens, Chesnee, SC.
