Cornelia Martin

Cornelia Lee Martin, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Brookdale at Skylyn. Born January 27, 1921, in Landrum, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ila Poole Kelley Henderson. Cornelia was a retired communication specialist with the U.S. Senate. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Survivors include a daughter, Diane Smith (Jim) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; son, Donnie Elmore (Patricia) of Derwood, MD; eight grandchildren, Terri, Donna, Tracie, Kelley, Kimberly, Kevin, Brent and Bobby Jr.; 17 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; a brother, Bob Henderson (Faye) of Wellford, SC; and caregiver, Mamie Smith. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Conway Martin, Sr.; son, Bobby Elmore; siblings, Wayne, Marjorie, Bill, and John Earl Henderson. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
