Corinne Cash

Corinne C. Cash, 90, of Spartanburg, died Monday, September 17, 2012, at White Oak Estates. Born August 4, 1922, in Chesnee, SC, she was the widow of J. L. Cash and daughter of the late, J. Melton and Sylvia Gamble Cash. A graduate of Chesnee High School, Mrs. Cash was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg where she was a member of a the Naomi Sunday School Class, Reach Out to Others, and Young at Heart. She was also a former member of OPTI-Mrs. Club of Spartanburg and Spartanburg Women's Club. Corinne was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a great appreciation for the beauty of nature and took immense pride in her flower garden. She will be remembered for her positive spirit and the joy she brought to others. Surviving are her daughters, Judy C. Schoenecker of Roswell, GA, and Janet C. Genoble and husband Butch of Spartanburg, SC; son, Joseph S. Cash and wife Taylor of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Kelly Schoenecker of Roswell, GA, Richard Genoble and wife Caroline of Florence, SC, and Blake Genoble of Charleston, SC; step-grandchildren, Tally and Jeremy Pruett, Sara and Ashley King, Ana and M.M. Patiluco, and Nathan and Adrian Hayes; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters, Trannie Williams, Ruth Jolley, Edith Antonelli, and Mary Lee Holder. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 19, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Sal Barone. Visitation will be at the graveside.
