Cora Rhodes

Cora Faye Rhodes, formerly of Roebuck, SC, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Magnolia Place-Spartanburg. Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Elizabeth Bowman Rhodes. Faye was retired from Milliken & Company after 36 years in Customer Service and Wal-Mart for 25 years. She was a member of Beaver Hills Baptist Church. Among survivors are her sister, Rachel Quinn of Roebuck, SC; two nieces; four nephews; five great-nieces; five great-nephews; and three great-great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Cornelia McPherson; and two brothers, Andrew McConnell and Ray McConnell. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 AM Friday, June 27, 2014 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Garold Thomas and Mr. Phil Scoggins.
