Constance Ongemach

Constance Jean Ongemach, 80, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, June 3, 2016 at Mary Black Memorial Hosptial. Born August 11, 1935 in Elkins, WV, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Ward and Louise Ward DiBacco, and her step father, Lebert DiBacco. She was the widow of George Christian Ongemach. Connie was retired from Walmart. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Scott Thomas Ongemach (Rebecca) of Ridgeville, SC; daughter, Suzanne Ongemach Metts (Bobby) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Steven Ongemach of Gaffney, SC; Elizabeth Rhodes of Pauline, SC; Joshua Ongemach of Ridgeville, SC; Sydney Metts of Spartanburg, SC; Robert Metts of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Mary Ellen Kennerdell of Naples, FL and Nancy Holmes of Amelia Island, FL. A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Monday, June 6, 2016 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. John L. Warren, Jr. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1320 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Bobby Metts.
