Rev. Conrad Allen Senn, 90, of Spartanburg, passed away on Tuesday morning, Janaury 18, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was born on June 10, 1931 in Spartanburg, a son of the late George Crawford Senn and Mabun Lizzie Riddle Senn.
Rev. Senn was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was a 1948 graduate of Spartanburg High School, a 1959 graduate of Wofford College, and 1967 graduate of the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He retired in 1994 as a United Methodist minister after serving for over 29 years in the ministry. Rev. Senn was also a member of the Lions Club.
Rev. Senn served Main Street Church (Bamberg), Homeland Park-John Wesley (Anderson), Trinity (Newberry), Galloway Memorial (Greenwood), St. Luke (Spartanburg) Bethel (Union) and Trinity (Spartanburg). A longtime member of the SC United Methodist Conference, he served on the Conference Ordained Board of Ministry and the Conference Board of Education, Missions, and Summer Investment Programs.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Rosa Mitchell Senn; his son, Conrad “Rad” A. Senn II (Christy) of Greer, SC; his daughter, Carolyn Senn Brown (Richie) of Buffalo, SC; his grandsons, Blake Senn (Melissa), Alex Senn (Haylie),Tyler Senn, and Sean Allen Brown; a great grandson, Landon Senn. Rev. Senn was predeceased by his brother, George E. Senn and a sister, Minnie Lee Pruitt.
Visitation will be 10:00-10:45AM, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will follow in the Chaepl at 11:00 AM, conducted by the Rev. Cameron Treece. Burial, with military honors, will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
