Connie Eaton

Connie Shoupe Eaton, 59, of Pauline, SC, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills-Landrum, SC due to complications of ALS. Born August 18, 1955, in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Mary Jackson Shoupe. Mrs. Eaton received her BS Degree in Special Education from Winthrop College and Master's Degree in Special Education from Converse College. She taught Special Education in public school for 33 years, retiring from District 2 Carlisle-Foster Grove Elementary in 2012. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She served as, Sunday School teacher, Pre-school Director, and Vacation Bible School teacher at various churches over the years. Surviving are her loving husband of 37 years, Rev. Charles M. Eaton; son, Daniel L. Eaton (Erin) of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Susan M. Moulder (Brian) of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Larsen Moulder (age 7) and Rayna Moulder (age 4); and brother, Gary L. Shoupe. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, April 10, 2015, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, by the Rev. Dr. Greg Butler and the Rev. Frank Thomas. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
