Conley Easler, Sr.

Conley Lee Easler Sr., 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Park Place Assisted Living. Born October 2, 1922, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Harry Lee and Lucille McAbee Easler. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Easler retired after 41 years of service as an engineer with Southern Railway. He enjoyed hunting and beekeeping and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Survivors include his beloved wife, Marian Emily Becknell Easler; son, Conley L. Easler Jr. (Nancy) of Spartanburg; daughter, Dr. Martha E. Nichols (Fenwick) of Augusta, GA; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; and sister, Erin Easler Ivey of Spartanburg. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Glenn "Bud" Easler and Bobby Joe Easler; and a sister, Marion Becknell Easler. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. J. Michael Hensley. Visitation will follow the services at the Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
