Coleen Shehan

Coleen Parris Shehan, 85, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, February 17, 2014, at White Oak Manor-Spartanburg. Born April 11, 1928, in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late Artur Isaac Parris and Mary Victoria Leigh Parris, and widow of Ray Edward Shehan. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Shehan was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, former church treasurer, and caregiver for the family. Survivors include her sons, Michael R. Shehan (Sheryl M.) and James E. Shehan (Rena L.), all of Pacolet, SC; grandchildren, Sonya Mode (Rick), Kevin Shehan (Audrey), Stacy Smith (Mark), and Tracy Taylor (Matt), all of Spartanburg, SC; five great-grandchildren; and special friend, Earlene McGaha. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Baby Boy Parris, James Arthur Parris, and Olin Dean Parris; and two sisters, Rree Parris and Essie Mae Parris. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Norman L. Band. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The family is at their respective homes.
