Clyde Arvin Johnson, 76, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center-Mary Black Campus. Born June 1, 1944 in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Herbert and Gladys Cash Johnson. Clyde was the owner/operator of Johnson-Ezell Automotive and previously worked with Ronnie Burns Ford. He was a member of Fairvew Baptist Church. His hobby was hunting. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Linda Lee Johnson of the home; his daughter, Tamara Campbell; his grandson who was raised in their home, Phillip Jake Ezell (Meghan) of Spartanburg, SC; a granddaughter who was raised in their home, Tori Elizabeth Davis of NC; great great-grandson, William Jakob Ezell; brother, Jerry Johnson (JoAnn) of Spartanburg, SC, and sisters, Brenda Watkins of Cowpens, SC and Emma Hawkins of Woodruff, SC; his lifelong friend and hunting buddy, Mike Davis. Along with his parents, he was also predeceased by one brother and four sisters. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, 1551 Bryant Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303, conducted by The Rev. Charlie Glover. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will be at the home of Linda Johnson.
