Clifford Long

Clifford Wayne Long, 61, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, February 24, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born September 15, 1952, in Spartanburg, he was the son of Helen Louise Marr Long of Spartanburg and the late Howard Gaston Long. A U. S. Marine veteran, Mr. Long was a member of the Church of God and a retired self-employed carpenter. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Kevin Barker Long (Shirley) of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, William Long (Debbie) of Greenville, SC, Michael Alan Long of California, and Johnny Thomas Long of Spartanburg, SC; nieces, Michelle Long and Sharon Long; nephew, Tony D'Anna; and former wife, Meg Long of Pauline, SC. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Diane Long. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Friday, February 28, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Rob Gouge and the Rev. Jackie Bridwell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
