Clarine Newsome

Clarine C. Newsome, 84, of 343 Ferndale Drive, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born September 30, 1925 in Ashe County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Garrett and Florence Pennington Patrick and wife of the late Sterling Newsome. She was first married to the late Robert Waddell. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Golt of Boiling Springs and Joyce Webb of Wellford; five sons, Johnny Waddell of Elkton, MD, Robert Waddell of Delaware City, DE, Ronald Waddell of Charlestown, MD, Jerry Newsome and Jeffery Newsome both of Delaware; a sister, Betty Campbell of Salem, VA; two brothers, Raymond Patrick and Joe Patrick both of MD; eighteen grandchildren, and thirty six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Waddell. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Andy Case.
