Clarice Crocker

Clarice Padgett Crocker, 93, of Glendale, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Valley Falls Terrace-Spartanburg. Born July 24, 1919, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Edgar and Raymoth Melissa Thomas Padgett and wife of the late James Vernon "J.V." Crocker. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and a member of Glendale Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Jane Crocker Hodge (Jerry) of Spartanburg; and grandson, James W. Hodge (Kirsty) of Spartanburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, William "Bill" Padgett, Boyd Padgett, and Charles Padgett. Visitation will be 2:00-3:45 PM Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Daniel Blackwell and the Rev. Clarence Crocker. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
