Clarence Riddle, Jr.

Clarence Rhett Riddle Jr., 74, lifelong resident of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Woodruff Manor. Born May 30, 1942, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Clarence Rhett Riddle Sr. and Ethel Dial Riddle and husband of 50 years to the late Frances Carol Riddle. A National Guard veteran, Mr. Riddle was a retired Spartanburg County Deputy Sheriff and member of Morningside Baptist Church. Surviving are his son, Kevin Rhett Riddle (Shelly); grandson, Jackson Gabriel Riddle; sister, Emily McIntyre (George), all of Spartanburg, SC; niece and nephews, Chris Ward (Susan), Rhett Ward, Mary Grace Ward, and Tony Ward. A graveside service was conducted at 11:00 AM Friday June 24, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Stan Byram.
