Clarence "Johnny" Eugene Riddle

Clarence "Johnny" Eugene Riddle, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on October 26, 1939, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son to the late Charlie Thomas Riddle and Grace Cochran Riddle.

Johnny enjoyed a fulfilling career as a machinist, retiring after 23 dedicated years with Draper Corporation. An avid golfer, Johnny played as often as he could, enjoying the game as one of his favorite pastimes. He was also a baseball fan and loved fishing and hunting, taking every opportunity to spend time outdoors. Additionally, he took great joy in shooting hoops with his son, creating lasting memories. His spunky personality made time spent with him very enjoyable.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Riddle, along with his children: Kelly Riddle (Teresa), Theresa Riddle (Robbie), Dana Riddle (Russell), Kenny Riddle, Tammy Kimbrell, Doyle Neal, Dana Studt (Tim), Phillip Stepp (Kaitlyn), Josh Stepp (Wendy), and Jessica Ellis (Saejae). Johnny was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and a great-grandfather to ten great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Welborn, and his brother, Harold Riddle, along with several nephews.

Johnny is preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Johnson, whose loss has left space in the hearts of his family.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307.

A graveside service will be at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Services will be conducted by The Rev. Tommy Sparks.

Johnny Riddle leaves behind an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
