Clarence Campbell

Clarence Beauford Campbell, 90, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born May 6, 1927, in Landrum, SC, he was the son of the late Cleve Bascomb and Polly Ann Gosnell Campbell. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Campbell was owner and operator of Campbell Painting and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Eileen Bridgeman Campbell; daughters, Kathy Williams, Patricia Black, Rita Russell (Ralph), Ruby McArdle (Pete), and Pamela Ballenger; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Barnett. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with funeral services following at 2:00 PM conducted by The Rev. Charles Hall. Burial, with military rites, will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family is at the home.
