Clara Belle Gunter Moore, 85, resident of Ashlan Village, died Friday, September 10, 2010, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born July 5, 1925, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late John Grady and Buna Marie Fowler Gunter and the widow of Clyde Alton Moore. She was a former employee of Spartan Mills and retired from Butte Knit. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Eastern Star. Survivors include a son, Michael Moore and wife Jackie of Moore; two granddaughters, Meredith Moore Dangel and husband Keith Evan Dangel of Durham, NC, and Stephanie Moore Dale and husband Jonathan Eric Dale of Lyman; two great-grandsons, Henry Michael Dangel and Perrin Clyde Dale; a sister, Peggy Ledbetter of Spartanburg; and a brother, Bodge Gunter of Gaffney. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Gary Hensley. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
