Claire Salley

Claire Elaine Pare Salley, 59, of 2720 Country Club Road, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 3, 1949, in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of Jeannette Rattie Pare of Whitney and the late Hubert M. Pare. She was employed part-time at the Civitan Rehabilitation Workshop, Inc. and was a member of Whitney Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her mother is her husband, David Sumpter Salley, Jr. of the home; and a daughter, Laura Lynne Whitt of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Paul Pare. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2009, at Whitney Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Larry Monday. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. The family is at the home of her mother, Jeannette Pare, 17 Damson Street, Whitney.
