Christopher "Chris" Wright

Christopher David Wright, 45, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born January 12, 1977 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late David E. and Karen Bollinger Wright.

Chris was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and was employed by Hamrick’s.  He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where he played hand bells for many years.

Survivors include his paternal grandmother, Frankie Wright of the home; his two nieces, Tianna Wright and Maureen Wright, both of Virginia Beach, VA; his best friend, Wally Ballard of Boiling Springs, SC; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Matthew Wright, and his paternal grandfather, Thomas Wright, and his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Cora Wilson Bollinger, and a dear friend, Barrett Gillespie

A Memorial service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 7, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302, conducted by The Rev. Bruce Booker. Visitation will follow the service. Entombment will be in the church columbarium.
