Christopher Rivers

Christopher Lynn Rivers, 58, of 401 Summercourt Drive, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at his home. Born July 19, 1952 in Richland County, SC, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Rosemary Peters Rivers. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, he was employed with Giant Resource Recovery and was a U. S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Storr Rivers; two daughters, Abigail Rivers and Jessica Ujevic and husband Ivan, all of Summerville; a sister, Kim Messer of Spartanburg; and a brother, Chip Rivers of Spartanburg. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by Chaplain Matthew Eddleman. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Charlotte Newcomb, 432 Blackwood Drive, Spartanburg, SC.
