Christopher Alan Baker, a beloved member of our community and an exemplary individual, passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 40. Born on November 22, 1984, in Sarasota, Florida, Chris brought warmth, kindness, and joy to everyone he encountered throughout his life.

As a proud graduate of Chapman High School, Chris exemplified dedication and determination in all his pursuits. He served his country honorably, retiring as a Sergeant First Class after 21 years of dedicated service in the United States Army. His commitment to his nation was matched only by his dedication to his career, working at Toll Solutions in Spartanburg, S.C., where he contributed to the team with his strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Chris was deeply passionate about exploring the world around him. He treasured moments spent outdoors with his daughter, Kara Baker, they engaged in countless adventures that showcased their bond and love for nature. From fishing trips to scenic motorcycle rides. Chris embraced life with gusto, making every day an opportunity for exploration and connection. Chris had a talent for drawing, and he expressed his creativity with every stroke, creating a legacy of art that his family will cherish.

He leaves behind a loving daughter Kara Baker, including his mother, Elaine Baker; sister, Michell Ganz and her husband Adam; nieces, Kamilya Cook and Lyndsie Cook; great-niece, Kahlyla White; and several aunts, uncles, and friends who will miss him dearly. Chris was predeceased by his father, Sam Baker, who will undoubtedly be welcoming him with open arms.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Christopher Alan Baker. Visitation will take place on February 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel with Pastor Jason Edwards officiating, and with full military honors. located at 4161 SC-9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.

Chris's spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him, as they remember a man whose laughter could light up a room and whose love for life was truly infectious. His adventurous heart and artistic soul have left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to be part of his journey.
