Christine Lowe

Christine Wilda Condrey Lowe, 89, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at RoseCrest Retirement Community. Born April 10, 1921 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late John and Wilda Condrey and the widow of Paul J. Lowe. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was employed by Efirds Department Store where she worked in the office for nine years until she and her husband established Lowe Electric Company. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she and her husband were choir members for forty-three years, and she served as Nursery Coordinator. During the past ten years, she faithfully listened to the worship services of Morningside Baptist Church by radio. She is survived by a daughter, Paula Christine Lowe Joye and her husband Harold Joye of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Amy Joye Bailey and her husband Robert Hall Bailey, and a great-grandson, William Lee Bailey, all of Greenville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, with the Rev. J. Michael Hensley and the Rev. Dr. Ronald D. Vaughan officiating.
