Christine Hyatt

Omelia Christine Miller Hyatt, 91, of Pauline, SC, died Monday, November 09, 2015, at her home. Born October 28, 1924, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late John James and Marie West Miller and widow of Lonnie Boyd Hyatt. Survivors include her sons, John Wayne Hyatt of Pauline, SC, Lonnie Richard Hyatt (Karen) of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Jill Marie Hyatt Petty of Spartanburg, SC, Loren Hyatt (Craig Moore) of Amman, Jordan, and Leah Hyatt Peace (Taylor) of Columbia, SC; and step grandchildren, Tyler Propst of Fort Mill, SC, Kate Barber of Simpsonville, SC, Lee Barber of Greer, SC. She was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Miller Hyatt and brothers, James Donald Miller, and Edward Russell Miller. Christine was employed at Raycord Industries for over 30 years and with the Carolina Cash Company. She was a lifelong member of Philadelphia Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for a number of years and was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Much appreciation to her special friend, Pamela M. Palmer and to her constant canine companion, Roxy. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, 3119 Hwy 56, Pauline, SC 29374, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Greg Butler. Visitation will follow the service in the Family Life Center.
