Christine Brooks

Christine "Tomi" Henderson Brooks, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Emeritus at Skylyn Place-Spartanburg. Born June 7, 1926, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Jay and Stella Parsons Henderson, and wife, for 61 years, of the late Benson Barnette Brooks. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Spartanburg. Surviving are her daughters, Bennie B. Page (John) of Rock Hill, SC, and Julie B. Ward (Gary) of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Brooks, Leigh, Wesley, Jack, and Kevin; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Lorean Burriss Fendley of Anderson, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Gary Ward and the Rev. Norman Band. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 2609 U.S. 29, Anderson, SC 29651. The family is at the home.
