Christine Alexander

Christine "Teena" Thompson Alexander, 89, of Glenn Springs, SC, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at The Clinton Presbyterian Community. Born January 7, 1924, in Rock Hill, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Kilgore Thompson Sr. and Pauline Anderson Alexander. Mrs. Alexander was a member of Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church, an Elder emeritus, member of the Cemetery Committee, Sunday School teacher and Superintendent. She loved camping and was a graduate of Pauline High School and Robinson Business College. Surviving are her sons, Joe H. Alexander (Jennifer) and Robert B. Alexander, all of Atlanta, GA, and Andy Alexander (Betsy) of Glenn Springs, SC; daughter-in-law, Anne Alexander of Cowpens, SC; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, William Kilgore Thompson Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; and twin sister, Pauline Thompson Allison of Inman, SC. She was predeceased by her husband, C. Bernard Alexander; and a son, William Thompson "Tommy" Alexander. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church, by the Rev Dr. B. E. Pettit. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will follow in the church Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church Building Fund, PO Box 279, Pauline, SC 29374; or Presbyterian Home of Clinton, 801 Musgrove Street, Clinton, SC 29325. The family is at the home of Betsy and Andy Alexander, 107 Thompson Road, Pauline, SC 29374.
