Christian Anders Kiesau, 41, of Stafford, VA, formerly of Spartanburg and Dillon, SC, died in Clarkesville, TN. Born August 14, 1967, in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of Dr. Kyle F. and Ann Hultin Kiesau of Spartanburg. A 1989 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, he was a Quality Control Manager with L-3 Communications MPRI RFI/PEO Soldier. He was a former employee of Dillon Yarn Corporation in Dillon and Milliken and Company in Spartanburg. He attended Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Stafford, VA, and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Dillon where he was a member of the Charles Wesley Choir. A former volunteer Junior Varsity Boys' Basketball Coach for Dillon Christian School, he also co-coached various recreation center sports (T-ball, football, soccer, softball, and basketball). He also volunteered with Cub Scouts, Dillon County High School Booster Club, Dillon County March of Dimes, Industrial Golf League, and the MacArthur Avenue Players at the Dillon County Theatre. He was a volunteer with Boy Scout Troup 317 in Stafford, VA, and an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving in addition to his parents is his wife, Melony Star Vise Kiesau; a daughter, Augusta Evans Kiesau; a son, Lyle Anders Kiesau; a sister, Jennifer Kiesau Roberts and her husband Webb of Roanoke, VA; a brother-in-law, Sgt. Timothy Jared Vise (U.S. Army) of Cowpens; his in-laws, Timothy Vise of Pickens, and Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Morris of Boiling Springs; two nieces; and two nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009, in the Parish and Family Life Center of The Episcopal Church of the Advent in Spartanburg. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. J. Edward Morris, the Rev. Dr. Clay H. Turner, and the Rev. Mickey Bell. A private committal will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, 401 East Main Street, Dillon, SC 29536; or to the Epilepsy Foundation of America, 8301 Professional Place, Landover, MD 20785. The family is at the home of his parents, 861 Glendalyn Avenue, Spartanburg.
