Christopher Michael Hollifield, 33, of Moore, died Friday, July 2, 2010 in New Orleans, LA. Born December 28, 1976 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Michael Thomas and Marilyn McKnight Hollifield of Pauline. A graduate of Dorman High School, he was an underwater diver with Veolia Environmental Services, a member of Evangel Cathedral, and a U. S. Marine veteran. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Ping Chen Hollifield with whom he is expecting a son, Tanner Chris Hollifield in October; a brother, Bryan Hollifield, a member of the National Guard now serving in Afghanistan; and a grandmother, Hazel Hollifield of Inman. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Thomas Hollifield and his grandmother, Carolyn McKnight. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. William C. Pate, Jr. and the Rev. Larry Braswell.
