Chester Storie

Chester Ray Storie, 69, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 12, 1942, in Beech Mountain, NC, he was a son of the late Ivey Wilburn and Floy Ethel Jones Storie. He was formerly employed by Clarkson Industries and a member of Arcadia Masonic Lodge #285. He was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church in North Carolina and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Joan Storie; daughters, Rhonda Rice (Randy), Tammy Smith (Allen), and Teresa Haulbrook (Mark), all of Spartanburg, SC; four sisters and a brother, all of North Carolina; five grandsons; three step-grandsons; one step-granddaughter, two great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by four sisters and one brother. Visitation will be 1:00-2:45 PM on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Chapel, conducted by Pastor Frankie Taylor and Pastor David Mattox. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
