Cheryl Smith

Cheryl Taylor Smith, 60, of Roebuck, SC died Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 23, 1961 in Gastonia, NC, she was the daughter of Louie and Judy Taylor.

Cheryl was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she was the former Director of Women’s Ministry. She was actively involved with the youth and was a member of the Adult Seven Sunday School Class. Cheryl loved her family and church family.

Surviving family include her husband of 40 years, Michael “Mike” Smith, her sons, Curt Smith (Melissa) of Tampa, FL and Kevin Smith (Shannon) of Roebuck, SC, her granddaughter, Callie Smith, her sister, Annie Eubanks (Chris) of Spartanburg, SC, and her beloved golden lab, Max.

Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:15 PM Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Southside Baptist Church, 316 S. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. A funeral service will be at 2:30 PM at the church, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Schuyler Peterson and her son, Mr. Curt Smith, will perform the eulogy. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
