Charlie Harmon

Charlie Bernard "C. B." Harmon, 78, of Moore, SC, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 11, 1937, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late John Bernard and Kathleen Smith Harmon. A U. S. Navy veteran, Mr. Harmon retired as a commercial road engineer from United Parcel Service. He was a member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church, a Mason, and past-master of Irving Southworth Lodge. He enjoyed collecting coins and clocks, was an avid runner and walker, and also a Gamecock fan. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Doris Gosnell Harmon; daughters, Connie H. Monaghan (Jim) and Michelle H. Goodman, all of Moore, SC; grandsons, J. Christopher Monaghan (Kayla) and great-grandson, Brayden, of Norfolk, VA, and Charles R. Monaghan (Kelly) of Inman, SC; granddaughters, Alex Horton (Jason) and great-granddaughter, Connor, of Woodruff, SC, and Georgia Michelle Goodman of Moore, SC; and sisters, Nancy Jones (Charlie) of Knoxville, TN, and Norma Moore (Tom) of Boiling Springs, SC. He was predeceased by a son, John B. Harmon. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Friday, September 25, 2015, at Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. D. J. Horton and the Rev. Asheton Amerson. Private entombment will follow the service.
