Charles Watson

Charles "Ed" Edward Watson, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, November 19, 2015, at his home. Born December 16, 1934, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Early and Willie Mae Hardin Watson. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Watson was employed as a Color Shop Supervisor at Lyman Printing & Finishing as well as Cherokee Finishing in Gaffney. He was a member of Startex Wesleyan Church and a life member of Roebuck Masonic Lodge #357. Surviving are his beloved wife of 59 years, Margie Ann Hewitt Watson; son, Charles E. "Eddie" Watson II of White Stone, SC; daughter, Kimberly Ann Erwood of Spartanburg, SC; grandsons, Jonathan Edward Stewart, Justin Kyle Stewart, Charles Edward Watson III, and Pearson Ashmore Watson, all of Spartanburg, SC; great-grandson, Jon Silas Stewart; brothers, William Kenneth Watson of Duncan, SC and Fred Alton Watson of Fairburn, GA; and sister, Mary Alice Shillingburg of Duncan, SC. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
