Charles Smith

Charles K. "Harold" Smith, 79, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, March 19, 2016, at home. Born July 24, 1936, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Vivian Christine "Dibbie" Smith Daniel and husband of the late Frances Prayther Smith. Mr. Smith was a self-employed construction contractor and licensed electrician. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include daughters, Catherine Elaine Smith of the home and Hollie Lynn Smith of Knoxville, TN. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his twin brother, Carrol Smith. Visitation will be from 3:00-3:45 PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following at 4:00 PM in the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Traci Smith Bennett. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Piedmont Hospice, 209A Riverside Ct., Greer, SC 29650.
