Charles Curtis Robbins Jr., 85, of Cowpens, SC, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 17, 1929, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Charles Curtis Robbins Sr. and Ola Jane Emory Robbins. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Robbins retired from Spartanburg Waterworks after 25 years of service. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Cowpens. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Bonnie Mullinax Robbins; daughter, Donna Swofford of Boiling Springs, SC; son, Ken Robbins (Sheila) of Cowpens, SC; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Alice Edge of Moore, SC, Cecil Robbins of Blacksburg, SC, Shirley Hall of Greenwood, SC, Pat Byars of Gastonia, SC, and Kenneth Robbins (Gail) of Greenwood, SC. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Friday, January 23, 2015, at Mountain View Baptist Church, 650 Battleground Rd., Cowpens, SC 29330. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Steven Griffith and the Rev. Jack Mullinax. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
