Bob Putnam, 63, of 115 Harvest Drive, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born August 17, 1946, in Charleston, SC, he was the son of the late Charles Arthur and Alice Smith Putnam. He was employed with UPS, a member of First Baptist Church North Spartanburg, a Teamsters member, and a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served on the USS Forrestal. Survivors include his wife, Janie Ruth Marsh Putnam; two daughters, Julie Huskey and her husband Steve of Gaffney, and LuElla D'Amico and her husband Scott of Stillwater, OK; two grandchildren, Steven Chase Huskey and Natalie Grace Huskey; and three sisters, Mary Herring of Summerville, Gladys Ziegelheafer of Gaffney, and Velma Compton of Huntington Beach, CA. Visitation will be 11:00-11:45 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. James Brown. Burial with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chase Huskey, Ray Rhinehart, Stephen Crocker, Mike Mahaffey, David Mahaffey, and Brian Ziegelheafer.
