Charles Bruce Morton, 87, of Columbia, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at his home. Born March 7, 1924, in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late William F. and Lillian Knight Morton, and husband of the late Betty Chandler Morton. Mr. Morton was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was retired from Colonial Pipeline and also worked for Plantation Pipeline. Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Morton Pack; granddaughters, Jessica M. Pack and Chandler F. Pack, all of Columbia; a sister, Lillie Mae Morton of Spartanburg; and many friends. Visitation will be 10:30-11:15 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 AM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Keith Taylor. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
