Charles Kirby

Charles Allen Kirby, 55, of Gaffney, SC, died Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born July 27, 1958, in Cowpens, SC, he was the son of Charles Mack Kirby of Cowpens, SC, and the late Grace Linder Kirby. He was employed with Parkdale Mills. In addition to his father, he is survived by a daughter, Julia Grace Kirby of Spartanburg, SC; a son, Josh Kirby of Florida; two grandsons; a sister, Denise McAbee (Mike) of Boiling Springs, SC; brothers, Buck Kirby (Myra) of Boiling Springs, SC, Pete Kirby (Debra) of Gaffney, SC, Mark Kirby (Viki) of Rutherfordton, NC; and his fiancé, Sharon Hardin of Gaffney, SC. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC 29330, by the Rev. Brian Inman. Visitation will follow at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Comfort Keepers, 324 E. St. John St., Spartanburg, SC 29302. The family is at their respective homes.
