Charles Hodge

Charles Robert (Rob) Hodge, 47, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at his home in Chesnee. Born March 9, 1963, in Spartanburg, he was the son of Sara Jane Honbarger Hodge and the late Donald C. Hodge. He was employed by Spartanburg County with the Parks Commission and was a family man and loving father. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a man of faith who enjoyed his church family at Solid Rock Church. Survivors include a son and daughter, Matthew Robert and Amber Nicole Hodge, both of the home; his companion, Wanda Hicks; two sisters, Brenda (Walt) Russell and C. Michelle (David) Colley, both of Spartanburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Sunday, February 6, 2011, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, February 7, 2011, at Solid Rock Church, conducted by the Rev. Randall Lewis. Burial will be in White Rose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hodge-Tucker Fellowship Building, c/o Solid Rock Church, 1326 Union Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
